Call me Mrs Fix It. You may have spotted this eyesore in my previous article. It's section of the boundary wall that we didn't address when we first arrived, roughly three and a half years back...
Kym and I have watched our gritty, nutrient-poor soil wash down onto our drive for ages, sometimes debating the best approach and timing, other times simply ignoring the problem altogether.
Not anymore, friends. Absolutely not.
Behold my modest little project, featuring Salvaged Pavers and brought to life through Determination and Effort. (Genuinely, I scraped my palms quite badly during this work)
Following removal of two barrows worth of debris and soil, I started arranging reclaimed pavers from a stockpile beside the residence (inherited from the former owners). Eventually we'll need to rebuild the full wall, but until finances allow for that expensive undertaking, these will serve their purpose nicely. As an added bonus, they match the tones of the current wall, so they sit in quite seamlessly. You'd almost think they'd belonged there from the start!
