Hi lovelies,
Today I'm sharing another project that Kym and I got started on back in January, but have only just recently finished! Last year we decided we'd like more of a "living wall" aesthetic in the back yard, and part of that was to add some height to the retaining wall with a trellis for gorgeous passion fruit vines. Here's what we began with:
We recycled an old trellis, stakes we had on hand, and the nails and tools we used were originally from my grandparents—the only real expense was for the plants (costing just $22)! Now, I should mention before you see the finished shots: since we used materials we already had, the trellis doesn't completely match. I actually reckon this is quite cool, because once the passion fruit vines take over, you won't be able to spot the difference—it's like a lovely little detail I can appreciate!
Here's how it looks these days:
I'll keep you updated with photos as the vines climb up the trellis.
xx
