wedding wednesday: the venue

We celebrated our wedding at Our Place. Not to be confused with our home, Our Place is a wonderfully charming venue perched atop Willunga Hill. We chose Our Place because it aligned with our principles. Anna and Andy (the gracious and genuine owners) cultivate their own vegetables, maintain chickens for fresh eggs, rear livestock for meat, cure their own meats on-site, and source complementary ingredients (olive oil, flour, nuts) and wine from local suppliers whenever feasible. They even maintain their own pond for breeding trout used in their seafood offerings!

Anna and Andy surpassed expectations in every respect— Anna personally crafted our wedding cake as a labour of love! Kym and I could not have selected a more ideal location for our wedding or more wonderful couple to oversee it.

Our Place hosts Sunday lunches featuring an Italian-inspired feast, where guests enjoy continuous servings for three to four hours (until you're completely full). Anna and Andy also operate their own artisan food venture, Australian Happy Foods, which appears weekly at the Willunga Farmers Market.

Learn more about this exceptional destination through the Our Place website.

Where did you celebrate your wedding? What were the factors that helped and hindered your selection?
