Give Series, Week 4: Time to Give!

Welcome to Week 4, the FINAL week of the Give Series! During the first week of our exploration, we examined a dictionary meaning of 'give' and contrasted this with our current perspectives. In the second week we considered our views about giving in relation to personal principles. The previous week we dispelled four 'giving misconceptions'.

Here are some of the insights I have gained…
  • I value generosity. When I approach giving through this perspective, I discover it far simpler to determine my own decisions about when I give and also when I cease giving.
  • Giving is a choice each moment. This means I will never give from requirement again.
  • I am fortunate. By considering my own giving I have grown more conscious of the kindness surrounding me.

What next? I believe I have shared sufficient thoughts on this subject for the moment. Though, before I finish here are some ideas to enhance your giving-thinking.
  • Develop your own giving motto.
  • Mix things up with your giving. Try a giving approach outside your usual style.
  • Contribute to something (or someone) that won't reciprocate or acknowledge it (consider gardening!)
  • Give in secret.
  • Give on impulse.
  • Begin giving now!

In what ways has your perspective on giving evolved? Found any fresh perspectives? Insights?
